This year marks fhe firsf fime fhaf all fhe Juniors have been unifed in one roorn, room 3l, where meefings were held fhroughouf The fall and spring ferms. ln fhe pasf year fhe Juniors were well represenfed in bofh academic and afh- lefic acfivifies. The fine work of fhe officers and fhe co-operafion of fhe class as a whole has made fhe class one of fhe oufsfanding classes of fhe Valley. The Junior and Senior classes fogefher gave a Chrisfmas Parry which was somea fhing new in fhe line of enferfainmenr, as a recording sysfem was used for fhe dancing and proved fo be very safisfacfory. Following fhe fradifion of several years' sfanding, fhe Juniors held a dance for fhe Seniors. This year, on accounf of limifed space in our gym, fhe Prom fook place af lvleachem, on lvlay 2O+h. During June fhe annual Junior-Senior Picnic, an all-day affair, was enioyecl by a large number of members of bofh classes. The Junior Class looks forward fo a very successful Senior year and also wishes fo fhe graduafes of i938 fhe besf of luck in fheir fufure.

SeaTed aT her desk in The inner oTFice, lovable, gray-haired Mrs. Edward L. RoberTson has Taken over The posT of AcTing Dean oT Girls. For This imporTanT posT, wiTh iTs many associaTed duTies, Mrs. RoberTson has many years oT Teaching experience behind her To rely upon. The widow oT The laTe Judge Edward L. RoberTson compleTed her elemenTary and secondary educaTion in Syracuse schools. Following ThaT she sTudied Tor one year in Germany. Upon her reTurn To The UniTed STaTes, Mrs. RoberTson enTered SmiTh College aT NorThampTon, MassachuseTTs, and was graduaTed Trom ThaT noTed girls' school wiTh The degree of Bachelor oT LeTTers. TwenTy years oT Teaching in privaTe schools in Syracuse, as well as membership on The Board oT EducaTion and nine years as iTs presidenT, have admirably equipped our Dean oT Girls To cope wiTh any oT The problems she will conTronT in her work here. Since Taking over her posT as a member oT The Valley TaculTy aT The beginning of The Spring Term, Mrs. RoberTson has devoTed mosT oT her Time To visiTing The homes OT ill ValleyiTes, helping Them in keeping up Their school work. Cases oT Truancy and absences oT all kinds are invesTigaTed by Mrs. RoberTson in an eTTorT To keep up The scholasTic level in our school. While serving on The Board oT EducaTion, Mrs. RoberTson had opporTuniTy To see and know each of The Syracuse Public Schools and The boys and girls in Them.
