Early in February Tri-Y held iTs Annual Dance aT The Y.W.C.A. wiTh The music being Turnished by Davison's Commodores. Also during This monTh a ioinT supper meeTing wiTh The l-li-Y bo s was held aT school. Mr. FixiT, The guesT speaker, proved boTh inTeresTing and helpklul in his remarks on The Younger GeneraTion. A Spring Rush was held aT The home of DoroThy BillingTon. AT The lnducTion Service aT The house oT Marion Skinner, The Tollowing girls were admiTTed To mem- bership: Grace Brown, DoroThy Burns, Elaine CosT, MargareT Diringer, and Shirley STrebel. ln March The club held a very successTul Tood sale aT school. On April I7 a silver Tea was sponsored by Tri-Y wiTh Shirley STrebel as chair- man. BeTTy Kero, Mariorie Willis and James Woodard acTing as guesT enTerTainers, sang Tor The group. These plays were very successfully produced and were lhe means ol discovering new lalenl. A feeling ol oplimism prevails lhroughoul lhe club wilh lhe brighl prospecls for several line enlerlainmenls nexl year when lhe advanlages ol a larger slage will be available. Several new members were received inlo Dracova as a resull ol lhese lryouls. They are: Dorlheney Byrem, Flora Johnson, Lucrelia Fiscoe, William Ross, Belly Kero, Wesley Gardner. Jack Chrislopher, Theodore Brown, Belly Besig, Lillian Holmes, Jean Buchanan, Charles l-liclcs, Clyde Jonhson, Belly Allen, David Filzgibbon, Eslher Morey, John Livingslon, William lvlacDougall, and Lonnell Weaver. A Chrislmas Parly was successlully given Thursday evening, December lwenly- lhird, wilh a social program providing an enjoyable evening lor all presenl. Plans are under way lor lhe lormalion ol a Dramalic League wilh dramalic clubs ol lhe cily high schools as cooperaling members. As a linale lor lheir I937-38 program, Dracova held a series ol five aclivilies, including lwo dramalic programs before lhe Parenl Teacher Associalion, a social Dracova meeling, a lood sale, and lheir annual banquel al which lhe olficers lor nexl year were chosen. Bruce Brummill was chairman ol lhe commillee on arrangemenls for lhe banquel and was assisled by Barbara Lombard, William Ross, l-loward Davis, and Lonnell Weaver.

Sianley Smifh and Thomas Lynch represen+ed +he chapier al 'rhe Hi-Y Con- ference af Albany. They look along a bill +o be submiHed lo rhe Assembly. On December 2O+h. 'rhree former Valley Hi-Y men now alfending colleges spoke lo 'rhe chapler. Bill Woodworlh of Springfield, Jack Wells of Colgale and Norman Sanger ol S+. Lawrence sfressed The poinr of sfudying in college. The monlhly supper mee+ings were, of course, lhe high spofs of The year's aciivilies. Tri-Y and l-li-Y held a ioin+ supper meefing during February. Afler lhe meeling lhe members of bolh organizaiions had 'rhe privilege of hearing Mr. Marks, commonly known as Mr. Fixi+. The affair was enioyed immensely by all. l-li-Y played an imporlani parl in 1'he colleclion of lhe Alhlelic Tax during 'rhe Spring Term. One of 'rhe main accomplishmenfs of 'rhe year was fhe forming of a cons+i+u+ion for The chapler. Up unlil now 'rhe chapfer had been funclioning wilhoul a consfilu- iion. The documenl was drawn up by a commiilee headed by Grani Murray. If has proved salisfaclory io all 'rhose aiiilialed wilh 'rhe organizafion. Two inferesiing discussions were conducled by Syracuse Universiiy debale slu- denls, one on war and The oiher on isms.
