AY' TW5 ST? The lirsl aclivily was The annual Alhlelic Associalion dance held Oclober QI, wilh music furnished by Davison's Commodores. The dance was a greal financial success. As in lhe pasl, we gave 'Ihe loolball loam a banquel. The caplains ol all lhe 'reams in lhe cily league were guesls. Mr. Soulhworlh was loaslmasler. The guesl speakers were I-larold Babe Rulh, I-lugh Dougherly, I-larold I-lollman, slar players from Syracuse Universily. This occasion loo proved a success. Al a lea given for lhe sludenl leachers, James Woodard ancl Warren Mcliibbon furnished enlerlainmenl. Under lhe direclion ol The Sludenl Council 'rhe Alhlelic Tax has been paid by quile a large percenlage of lhe sludenls. This 'rerm rhe Cily-wide Council really gor under way. Our president Rundell Maclean, was honored by being chosen as Vicerpresidenl. We hope lhal The years lo come will prove lo be as successful as has lhe pasl year.

A one acl comedy enlilled Trulhlul Husbands, slarring Lois Long, Lucia War- wick, Waller Conlin, Charles Hicks, Clyde Johnson, l-larold Smilh, William Quinlivan, Bruce Brummill, Rulh Muller, and June Bishop, which was lo have been presenled al a Washinglon's Birlhday assembly, had lo be dropped. The conslruclion work slarled in lhe lronl of lhe audilorium and on lhe slage necessilaled lhe cancellalion ol lhe play. Dracova had lo limil ils dramalic aclivily lo several lryoul plays wrillen by sludenls desiring lo become members and roduced belore lhe club. These plays were very successfully produced and were lhe means ol discovering new lalenl. A feeling ol oplimism prevails lhroughoul lhe club wilh lhe brighl prospecls for several line enlerlainmenls nexl year when lhe advanlages ol a larger slage will be available. Several new members were received inlo Dracova as a resull ol lhese lryouls. They are: Dorlheney Byrem, Flora Johnson, Lucrelia Fiscoe, William Ross, Belly Kero, Wesley Gardner. Jack Chrislopher, Theodore Brown, Belly Besig, Lillian Holmes, Jean Buchanan, Charles l-liclcs, Clyde Jonhson, Belly Allen, David Filzgibbon, Eslher Morey, John Livingslon, William lvlacDougall, and Lonnell Weaver. A Chrislmas Parly was successlully given Thursday evening, December lwenly- lhird, wilh a social program providing an enjoyable evening lor all presenl. Plans are under way lor lhe lormalion ol a Dramalic League wilh dramalic clubs ol lhe cily high schools as cooperaling members. As a linale lor lheir I937-38 program, Dracova held a series ol five aclivilies, including lwo dramalic programs before lhe Parenl Teacher Associalion, a social Dracova meeling, a lood sale, and lheir annual banquel al which lhe olficers lor nexl year were chosen. Bruce Brummill was chairman ol lhe commillee on arrangemenls for lhe banquel and was assisled by Barbara Lombard, William Ross, l-loward Davis, and Lonnell Weaver.
