CLASS HISTORY As commencement 1957 approaches each member of the sen1or class looks back upon the years precedmg h1s graduatton, Why lt seems only yesterday that he was back tn kmdergarten preparmg for all those years of educauon awatting hlm. Then, tn no ttme at all he was about to enter h1s ftrst year of htgh school, The freshman year started offwxthabang, Ofncers elected were: Susan McKeen Pres1dent Bob Davey Vice Presxdent Judy Hurst Secretary and Letlaru Schoff Treasurer The class be gan raxsmg money by selltng booster tags and by puttlng on a dance Apr1l Frolic Under the gutdance of the advxsor Miss Eveland these projects proved worthwhlle New faces were added to the group rhts year Among them were Peggy Bertrand Pat Waluszczak and Tom O Hara. The sophomore year proved successful also The class choseas 1ts leaders Rlchard Greeley Presldent Geoff Browne Secretary and Betty Bruck Treasurer The class sold school suppltes held a bake sale and put on a dance to help bu1ld up the treasury There were many tasks awalllllg the Juruor class as they assembled for the1r ftrst meetmg. Officers for th1s year were: Doug Jackson Presldent Geoff Browne, Vxce Presldent Barb Schneber Secretary and Mary Schwanke, Treasurer These people d1d an excellent Job tn lead mg the class mto the 1mportant pro1ects ahead The yearbook was publtshed w1th Letlam Schoff as ednor 1n chief Rlchard Greeley d1d a fme Job as chairman of the prom, Stardust More dances were put on and another profltable bake sale was held The class expanded w1th the addmon of Lee McCarthy Mar11yn Edwards and Don Vincent to the group When the semor class assembled in September 1956 they reallzed how much there was to be done. The capable off1cers elected were: Bob Hayden, Prestdent Onan W11ber V1ce Presldmt Barb Schrxeber Secretary and Mary Schwanke, Treasurer Agam M1ss Eveland d1d an excellent Job as class advtsor Helen Frey came from Caltforma to Jom the class The semors forged Lnto the Job of sellmg Chrrstmas cards wtth great enthustasm.
