HISTORY I am Onondaga Central School, a red brick building located in the village of South Onondaga, and this is my diary You may think it silly of me to keep a diary but it is my only vay of remembering the classes after they leave ine Class of 1359 xepresents another groxp of young people about to go out into the world I remember John Fishlock, Herby Hubert, Sue Jackson, Oren Stilwell, and Roger Amidon when they started here in first grade In eight short years these five, plus thirteen others gained through the grades, arrived officially in senior high school Here again I recall that two new members joined the group, Donald Oswald and llen Whitney Class elections were held and Donald Oswald was voted president, James Cusic, vice president, Nancy Fernald, treasurer, and Carol Aitchison, secretary Their first homeroom was the science room When time came for elections in the sophomore year, Bill Case was elected president, Sue Jackson, vice president, Nancy Fernald, treasurer, and Roger amidon, secretary Under these able leaders, the class presented the play, 'Peggy Hakes Up Her Mindn, and sold soda pop at baseball games During their junior year they were lead by such officers as Ronnie Miner as president, John Fishlock as vice president, Carol Aitchison as treasurer, and Gladys Perry as secretary They were an active group that year, presenting the play, 'Too Many Doctors , putting on the Junior and Senior Prom with Louise Bishop as chairman, and pub lishing the nOnondagan with Mary Lynne Miller as editor Uven then they had their eye on New York when they sold soda pop at games and sponsored a paper drive Gloria Larwin, Samuel Hountney, Ken Combs, and Mary Ellen Wise joined the group this year President Ronnie Miner along with his cohorts, Vice president Oren Stilwell, Treasurer Carol Aitchison, and Secretary Gladys Perry, led them through that last year Fred Mullen joined the group for this last mile, bringing the total class membership up to twenty five Their play, nlnner Willy , was a huge success under the direction of the class advisor, Mrs Potter This was perhaps the busiest of their years with a minstrel show, paper drives, a talent scout show, candy sales, and a spaghetti supper, not to mention the ever present pencil sales. Why you could fairly see their smoke as they passed through that last year. Now they are leaving me. These once small children will soon go forth to take their places in the world of tomorrow. I will always cherish the hope that perhaps I have helped. where they made plans for their first production, no Say can you Singn A I 1 . 1 n A E A . U -D ll - .
