Battle of the Ages l 2 1 The Bubble Club ROYALTY: Rodney Becker and Connie Rappana KI - DAY Preceded by the usual bon fire and snake dance on Thursday evening, Ki-Yi Day got off to an early morning start on September 28. Floats were being pasted up and nailed down until a few minutes before parade time at 1:00 o'clock. Due to the unusually large number of entries, the parade turned out to be one of the biggest and best ever. Game time at 2:30 brought defeat to the Warriors by a tough White River crew. Festivities were brought to a close Fri- day evening with a beautiful coronation ceremony for Ki-Yi royalty and the annual homecoming dance. ATTENDANT S: Dennis Pullman, Jerry Allison, Jack Campbell, Le Roy Hyde, and '55-'56 Student Body President Robert Sargent. 1955 K1-YI PRINCESS Verna Wakefield, ATTENDANT S: Chuckie Telford, Barbara Zebroski, Margie Balaberda and Kay Porter. The students set up their own election board with Rodney Becker as chairman, La- Von LaFave and Hazel Letellier as election judges. Weldon Ste- phens and Keith Palmer were the clerks. Everything was run off according ro Hoyle with the elec- tion on October 21. The stu- dents went in favor of the G.O.P. Hawkins! On October 19 we had our annual Sadie Hawkins fgirl ask boyj party. This was strictly a hard-time affair with some of the students having the appearance of real hoboes. Bonnie Becker and Van Stewart walked off with best dressed honors. Coach Donahue I ack Campbell, Dennis Pullman, Charlie Stephens, Bob Yackley, and Pat Cullinan, started most of the games for the Warriors this season. In the front line Jack and C Charlie carried the scoring punch with D Dennie doing a great job on defensive and rebounding. Pat and Bob were at the guard spots doing their share of scoring which made it a lot easier on the boys inside. LeRoy Hyde and Harry Thomas gave us a lot of support from the bench. Both saw a lot of action. The Warriors lose four sen- iors, only two of whom are on the starting five, which gives a good outlook for the coming year.
