x V , Formals Provide Relaxation, X Entertainment For Students W Putting aside studies and books, students found fun and relaxation in social activities. Dances ' turned the gym from a daytime basketball court + into a gay, music-hlled evening of entertainment. Sports events gave students an outlet for their excess energy. Football and basketball seasons found the stands filled with cheering and high spirited team supporters, yelling with all their might for the players. The shop served as an experimental lab for lnechanical-minded boys, who profited from many constructive hours learning the principles of elec- tricity. The cheerleaders' ice cream stand was always crowded with students discussing the latest in , - school and social events.
