Club members helped in the library in various ways. Their jobs included charging out books, putting books on the shelves, checking in new magazines, and getting back issues of magazines for students doing research work. On Valentine's Day the club held its annual tea for the faculty. To nuance their annual trip, the club members sold Christmas cards and magazine subscriptions early in the year. A holly-selling project at Christmas time pro- vided funds for an annual tea held in the Home Economics House for some 100 alumni of OHS now away at college. These familiar sounds were usually heard coming from room 34 each Monday night, as math clubbers struggled to master the use of the slide rule. Such projects as surveying, use of the plane table, the transit, and the stadia tube, along with frag- ments of calculus, and a field trip at the end of the year, comprised the club activities.
