They work at the desk, shelving books, run- ning errands and doing many of those little things that just seem to take up the Librari- an's time. The main item of interest this year was the trip to the State Capital to visit the State Library, State Teachers' College Library and others in March. The officers this year are: President, Betty lean Hamer: secretary-treasurer, Constance Hoffman: program chairman, Nannette Smith. Standing: D. Beagle. R. Cleary During the past year, the Saturday Nite Club, sponsored by the Senior Class, has pro- vided Saturday night entertainment to the students of Oneonta High School. The pro- gram has included such features as: ping- pong tournaments, floor shows, and even an orchestra which played one evening to a full house. On a typical Saturday night one might have discovered the sound of ping-pong balls mingled with a Vaughn Monroe song from the juke box, as he halted, entering, while Bob Cleary demanded tickets. Over at the refreshment stand he would have seen Ioe Hepa grinning as he passed out hotdogs. In- side the gym Don Beagle would have been supervising the juke box, while Dotty Bagg fixed last minute details for the floor show. Mr. Hobbie assisted wherever he could. New mem- bers were taken in and new sweaters and letters were awarded in an assembly held for the purpose. On lune 4 the annual ban- quet of the club was held. The traffic squad, under the direction of Charles Belden, is maintained to keep order and avoid confusion throughout the halls of Oneonta High School. lt is composed of twenty-one senior boys.
