During October approximately eighty Juniors met and chose for their class oflicers: President, Wilmer Breseeg Vice-president, Thelma Culverg Secretary, Freda Hemmingg and Treasurer, Gray Strain. Our policy now changed from isolation to participation. Some of our number helped to make up nearly every organization in the school. The names of members of our class appeared on the lists of the basket ball, football, baseball, and track squads. Our goal was now near at hand, and we lived the following summer months in anticipation of assuming the mantle of Seniors. Our first three years of high school life were happy ones, but our Senior Year has been the happiest and yet the saddest of them all. Early in the fall we elected the following officers: President, Wilmer E. Breseeg Vice-president, Ruth Shoveg Secretary, Rachael Patrickg and Treasurer, Gray Strain. Duties fell heavily upon us, for we found ourselves managing a Senior Annual and The Echo , taking part in the annual school play. the interscholastic debate, oratorical and essay contests: and. in general, acting as leaders of the student body. We are especially proud of having won the annual triangular interscholastic debate by a unanimous decision of the judges, thus for the first time winning the silver loving-cup for Oneonta. Now our journey is at an end. We have reached the goal long striven for, only to learn that Commencement means that ahead of us lie greater goals for which we must s'rive. We are, indeed, proud and happy to be numbered among the graduates of 0. H. S.g yet we regret that we shall traverse her familiar halls no longer nor take nart in her various activities. Nevertheless, we leave our Alma Mater with a fond devotion to her and with the one great desire to bring her honor in the future.
