Softball, the last girls' sport of the year, proved to -e one of the major sports of '53. An enthusiastic quad of players turned in a superb record under the eadership of their captain, Marilyn Kingsley. V.V.S. ponsored the annual softball playday. BASKETBALL Basketball was heralded by a big turn out for the team this year. With more than 50 girls out for the honor of team membership, 24 were finally chosen by Miss Helt.
