CLASS HisToKY The Freshman class of 51 and’52 consisted of five pupils from the 8th grade in Oneida, Annette Anderson, Roselita TLierz, Jerome Allen, Max Allen, Pat Hughes, and EALth Pendland coming from Pleasent View. We were initiated the second week in schools The upper class took us tc Sycamore roller skating. Sophomorcs ¢ As sophmores we gavw a high school patty. Tho last day of school the high “school and the cight grade enjoyed a picnic at Sycamore. Juniors: As Jrse wé gave a banquet for the seniors. We also had foo@ salcs. Seniors: As Srs. we hada waffle suppor, had food sales and sold Christmas cards. PATRICK 0. HUGHES Pat Hughes wes born north eestof Mary- sville in the year 1936, the son of li. and Mrs. Oscar Hughes. Where in two years he noved to Bettie, Kansas. At Battie, Kansas he entered his first year of school. The following summer he moved to Suter Field tor one year, there he entered a country school. The next summer he moved to Bern Kansas, where he proceded with four years of school. He came to Oneida school when he was in the sixth year of school. In the fall of, 1951 he entered Oneida Rural High School. He participated in two school plays, Everybody's Crazy Now, and, Sunbonnet Sue , Durinz his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year he was Reporter of the Class. EDITH M. PENDLAND Edith M. Pendland was born January £4, 1937 ona farm near Oneida, Kansas.¢ Her mothers maiden neme was Ruby M. Walker Her fathers name is Samuel C. Pendland.She attended District 54 Grade Schoolfareight yearse In the fall of 1951 she entered Oneida Rural High School. She held the following offices while in school, Vice President of Freshmen Class, President of the Sophouore, Junior, and Senior Class. She participated her Junior year in theoveretta Sun Bonnet Sue. She was Secretary Treasurer of the Pep Club, during her Senior year. She has been a member of the Glee Club. While in High School, she majored in Math. History, and English.

My ability to make book reports to Rex Allen, my ability to stay home at ‘nights to Betty Spielman, my endearing young charms to any one in need of them, My class punctuality, I give to graders; My A'S to Robert Allen my basketball suit to Rex Russell, take care. My beauty tc 6.4.8. because I doen't think they can do without it. My bookkeeping to some one that has no qther subject to take. My one treasure my car to the Senior girls because they'll need a good car.
