MAX ALLEN Max Allen was born November 18, 1936 in Oneida, Kansas, to the parents of Mr.and Mrs, Lynn Allen. At the age of five he moved to Newton, Kansas, where he attented his first two years of grade school. In 1943 he moved back to Oneida, to finish the rest of his grade school. In the fall of 1951 he entered Oneida Rural High School. He participated all four years in athelitics, and earned four letters in basketball. ANNETTE ANDERSON Annette Anderson was born July 24, 1937, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude T. Anderson. She entered the first grade at Oneida and has continued ali her school years at Oneida. She held the following offices while in high school, President of the Freshman Class and Secretary of Sophmore, Junior, an@ Senior Classes. She participated 4 years in atletics. She was a member of the Glee Ciub and took part in an opera Sunbonnet Sue. During her Senior year she was editor of the CARDINAL and was President of the Pep Club. She majored in Math, History, and English. JAMES JEROME ALLEN Jerome Allen was born June 11, 1937 to the perents of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Allen at Oneida, Kansas. He attended all twelve years of school at Oneida.e He entered High School at the age of fourteen. During his Sophomore, Junior, andSenior Yearhe was Vice President of the Class. Roselita Lierz was born April 22, 1937 ‘on a farm near Seneca Kansas. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. entered her first grade trict 48 until her seventh grade where she ‘entered Oneida Grade School. from the eighth grade in 1951. She majored, PATRICK 0. HUGHES Pat Hughes wes born north eestof Mary- sville in the year 1936, the son of li. and Mrs. Oscar Hughes. Where in two years he noved to Bettie, Kansas. At Battie, Kansas he entered his first year of school. The following summer he moved to Suter Field tor one year, there he entered a country school. The next summer he moved to Bern Kansas, where he proceded with four years of school. He came to Oneida school when he was in the sixth year of school. In the fall of, 1951 he entered Oneida Rural High School. He participated in two school plays, Everybody's Crazy Now, and, Sunbonnet Sue , Durinz his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year he was Reporter of the Class. EDITH M. PENDLAND Edith M. Pendland was born January £4, 1937 ona farm near Oneida, Kansas.¢ Her mothers maiden neme was Ruby M. Walker Her fathers name is Samuel C. Pendland.She attended District 54 Grade Schoolfareight yearse In the fall of 1951 she entered Oneida Rural High School. She held the following offices while in school, Vice President of Freshmen Class, President of the Sophouore, Junior, and Senior Class. She participated her Junior year in theoveretta Sun Bonnet Sue. She was Secretary Treasurer of the Pep Club, during her Senior year. She has been a member of the Glee Club. While in High School, she majored in Math. History, and English. CLASS HisToKY The Freshman class of 51 and’52 consisted of five pupils from the 8th grade in Oneida, Annette Anderson, Roselita TLierz, Jerome Allen, Max Allen, Pat Hughes, and EALth Pendland coming from Pleasent View. We were initiated the second week in schools The upper class took us tc Sycamore roller skating. Sophomorcs ¢ As sophmores we gavw a high school patty. Tho last day of school the high “school and the cight grade enjoyed a picnic at Sycamore. Juniors: As Jrse wé gave a banquet for the seniors. We also had foo@ salcs. Seniors: As Srs. we hada waffle suppor, had food sales and sold Christmas cards. The class of '55 are here at the.Hanging Gardens for their. Max Allen is the first guest to arrive, we find he took Mr. Englers advice on large scale farming, as he now is the owner | of South Dakota. He always said there's nothing like having the world in your hands, Annette Anderson we find has made more than one success in her nursing career, as she is now happily married to a very | nice looking interne. We here her telling Miss Armstrong that | she realizes now that blood runs through the veins. Pat Hughes is driving up in a very flashy Cadillac conver- | tible, as he is now the owner of the Cadillac’ Manufacturing | Company in Qneida. He reports business is very good. Edith Pendland has now finished her secretarial schooling | and is now employed at the Atomic Jet Base in Kalmazoo, where her husband is stationed. He is now boss of the jet expedi- _ tions. Doris was dressed like a baby, carying a baby bottle, was barefooted, and hair braids tied with twine. Edith wore a gunny sack dress, hair braids tied with twine, and had twine tied around all of her toes. Ann wore a man's shirt and overhalls backwards and had hair braids tied with twine. All the girls had to carry a sack of candy for upper classmen. About 10 o'clock in the morning we started to Sycamore Springs. When we got there we enjoyed a game of softball till noon, then we ate our dinner.
