Class Will The Senior Class of 1951, of Oneida Rural High School, in Nemaha County, Kansas, being about to end its existence as a class, being of sound mind in fact, having a well crammed mind, and superhuman understanding with a memory that was never known to fail, do make and publish this, our last will and testament. I, Leonard Grose, will my ability to pass agriculture tests to the Freshman boys, my typing ability to Annie Hughes. I will my scholastic ability to Buddy Bauman, and my position on the basketball team to anyone who is fool enough to take it. I, Richard Boltz, will my ability to study history to the Freshmen, and Sophomores, and my ability to impress the girls with my curly red hair to Vaden Allen. I will my ability to get to school on time to Lucille and Buddy. I, Betty Allen, will my ability to play basketball to Naomi Miner, my back seat in study hall to Aurellia Grose, my ability in Home Economics to the eighth grade girls, and my health book to the Freshman giris. I, Bob Reasy, wilii my ability to argue with the teachers to Buddy and my position on the basketbail team to Raymond, and my good grades in agriculture to the Freshmen. My C in History to the Sophomores and my seat to anybody foolish enough to become a Senior. I, Jerry Ailen, wili my sunny disposition and my ability to get along with the teachers to Raymond Hoover. I will my ability in Math to Vaden Allen and my ability to sleep until noon on Monday morning to any of the Freshmen who may need it in the future years. The Senior Class wilis to the Freshman Class, our favorite expression Wait a minute . The teachers like to hear it so well that they add twenty-five percent to our deportment grades every time it is used. We suggest that they use it during the next three years in High School to encourage the teachers. 13

Now it is alright for a person to be conservative with money, but Robert Reasy is so miserly that he will not buy razor blades so he can shave before coming to school in the mornings. Richard Boltz never used to study until Patsy left and now he is studying all the time. I wonder if she had anything to do with it. Jerry Allen comes to school a little more on time this year but is always complaining of a headache. Leonard Grose is always hollering his head off when he takes a test because of this question and that; but he always comes through with A's. Betty Allen is a pretty good student but she seems to be a lot better at hitting basketball goals than she is at hitting typewriter keys. Mrs. Kibler seems to have taught the girls quite a lot about cooking and sewing, but the girls wish that Mrs. Kibler would let them make more cakes and candy. Mr, Dickerman is a nice principal and all that; but when he makes the boys duck-walk across the gym he creates enemies. It looks like he could be a little easier on the boys in athletics. Mr. Sparling is a good enough teacher most of the time, but there are days when he is awful grouchy and hard to get along with. We wonder if it could be because he has made a long trip to Sabetha. Now you can see why I'm always in a bad humor. If we could just get rid of these faults, we wouldn't need 2 Class Grumbler. 12

We give to the Juniors our Senior dignity and ask that it may be upheld with all seriousness and gravity in spite of their light mindedness and irvesponsibility. To the beforementioned Juniors we also will our places in the class rooms and chapel. May they fill them as promptly and faithfully as we have done. if unintentionally we leave any erasers, pencils or other scholastic equipment, give these to who-so-ever can get them in the mad seramble of the yelling underclassmen. In some mysterious way these articles which we have used, may impart to them some of the great wisdom we have absorbed in this institution of learning. To our successors we leave our places in the affection of our principal and teachers. They will love them even as they have loved us, and will show them all the kindness and attention they have shown us. Besides all these precious gifts, we also leave to our classmates, our blessing, tender memories of our pleasant associations together and a pledge for friendship of the future. The rest of our property, not already disposed of, we give to our home- room teac her, as a Slight token of our respect to be used by her for the benefit of the incoming classes in whatever way her mature judgement shall decide, We hereby appoint our principal, Mr. Dickerman, sole executor of this, our last wili and testament. Signed, seaied, pubiished and declared by the above named Senior Class, in the presence of the following witnesses: Biily The Kid Jesse James William Cook 14
