There was little excitement during our Sophomore year, but we went to the South Timber for a weiner roast. During October, our class increased tc 22 with the addition of Betty Harris coming from Victoria High School, but in February our class, losing Florabelle Shepherd, again decreased to the original number of 21. In the beginning of the chapter concerning Juniors we find in of flee President .Carol Shaw Vic P esident Don Deets Secrouar, Treasurer Chuck Adams Student Council . George Hardesty John Adams Class Advisor Mrs Weech We now miss the familiar faces of Ellen Wadhams, Gerald Parr, Harold Smith, Lucille Stewart, Marilyn Cox and Robert Cox In No vember we lost one of our officers, George Hardesty, then John Adams was elected for Student Council representative A farewell party was held for George in the Library. Due to an epidemic of scarlet fever we had much difficulty in finding a date for our Junior Class Play, Polishing Papa, which was finally held in April One lingers over our Junior activities, reading about the Junior Senior Banquet held at the Galesburg Club On the fourth and last year our school opened with the number of thirteen ws Don Deets was gone and Bob Wadhams from Rio filled the vacancy, but also left us to work Class officers were President Annette Anderson Vice U esident Lyle Clague Secret ry T casurer Shirley Swanson ttd n John Adams lsor Mr Peek During the fall we presented another comedy play entitled 'Tho Bargain Bride On the morning of February 7, the high school students were star tled by the fire alarm, but, thanks to the Seniors, it was false The Seniors then took off for the Tri Cities All the Senior boys answering their patriotic duty to their coun try enlisted in the Navy 'nt Senior girls gave a party in honor of the boys, using the Navy theme The ninth of April, Lyle Clague and Roger Cash reported at Grea Kc for their training The Seniors made rapid progress and by the end of the term tra members of the board of education were ready to surrender the valua ble documents and diplomas into the hands of the Seniors Even the lowly Juniors were pendent and begged the Seniors to feast at their Banquet i U 0 llfllllflili -v '11 V ..l Oouoocoo 1 'yuh V'-' Oil 00000 I osooooocn 0 3 , .- . .
