Senior ecy May 11, 1992 Dear Mark, No, I can’t believe it’s already been ten years. We really did have a good time on our senior class trip and I agree that it seems like yesterday that we were all together enjoying those last days as a class. Well, enough of those memories before I start crying. What I want to tell you is that I’ve sent out the invitations for the reunion and everyone I wrote to can come, so it looks like the whole class will be back together again. The first to reply were CHRIS FERGUSON and AMBER RUSHBROOK Ferguson. They got married a few years after graduation. Chris started out working on the railroad and then two years ago. after several promotions, he moved up the ladder to President of ICC. Amber is also very successful. She is the President of the First National Bank of Dallas. The next person I heard from was BILL WHITLOCK. Would you believe he lives in California and is known by women as the 'Hugh Hefner of the future ? Bill always seemed so quiet but he must have really gotten rowdie after high school! SHIRLEY KEMARLY wrote and told me that she is a successful author. She has written quite a few short stories and they’ve made her famous all over the world. I knew she was an author because I’ve read a few of her stories and I agree that they’re great! ERNEST SALDANA sent an R.S.V.P. but I guess he was much too busy to write a note too. You know he's the head photographer for Playboy. Bill told me Ernest has photographed quite a few of his girlfriends. As you know, I am the director of five day care centers in the area and I really love my work. Well, to get to the point, the other day I was trying to find someone to build a sixth center for me. when I got BILL ROBINSON’S and MARTY TILSTRA’S replies. I was thrilled to find out that they were partners in business. Bill is married to the former LeAnne Kraay and he is a carpenter. Marty married a beauty contest winner and is a plumber. They own Robinson and Tilstra Construction and now are important supervisors. I contacted them and signed a contract with them to build my new center. RANDY RABE wrote and told me that he worked for his brother a few years, saved up some money and opened an antique shop. Now he has a chain of shops, lives in a mansion and made People’s magazine most eligible bachelor of the year. The last person I heard from was TERRI LIMBAUGH who is now Terri Pfister. She got married, moved to Colorado and owns hundreds of beauty shops throughout the country. Now she only works for the movie stars and the rich and her styles are in every fashion magazine you pick up. I guess we’ve all been very lucky and successful and I can't wait to see everyone again. Love, Barb May 2, 1992 Dear Barb, I can’t believe we’ve been out of Onarga High School for ten years. It seems as if it was just yesterday we were partying in the Ozarks on the class trip. By the way, before I forget, have you sent the invitations out to the other half of the class? I contacted everyone else and they all said they could come. I can hardly wait to get everyone together again! Have you heard that I am now playing bass and singing for Journey? Now I am making mega-bucks and live in a huge mansion! I had heard that GEORGE GALVAN has become the best landscaper in the business so I had him landscape my courtyard, just wait till you see it at the reunion! HARGIS HARDING and DAVID NIMS have rebuilt the sound system for the courtyard. They are the head electronic technicians of PEAVEY Amplifiers and Sound Corporation. So I recommended them to the band to design all of our sound systems. The other day I walked into McDonald’s to eat and on the way out I was reading the plaques on the wall and they were all signed by TRENT STAUFFER! I couldn't believe it! He is now President of the McDonald's Corporation. On the way home to top it off, my chauffeur got a speeding ticket, and of course I had to go and argue about it. So we went to the police department in New York City. So who do you suppose was sitting at the desk of Chief-of-Police ”? MARK JEWELL! Naturally, he let us off the hook and we sat down and had a cup of coffee. He and Kathy Gerdes were married a year after he graduated, and they now have five healthy young children, all with curly red hair. We got to talking about insurance and Mark recommended that I buy State Farm insurance, and also recommended I speak to the president of State Farm. He said I would be quite impressed. So the next day I made an appointment with State Farm’s President here in New York City. When I got there, Ambassador to Poland. Mr. Maz walked out of the door. The secretary said. He will see you now . When I walked through the door, to my amazement, there was KENT STAUFFER sitting behind a huge desk. In the room there just happened to be a whirlpool, pool table, a huge stereo playing a Journey album, and a bar. Such a rough day at work! Of course. I had to sit down and talk for awhile. We got to talking about hair styles and he said he liked mine. So I recommended that he go to KIM HOVICK’S Beauty Salon in downtown New York City. She is now happily married to Greg Schoolman. Wow, this class sure has been successful! I do have some bad news though. I received a letter from dad the other day and grandma Krumwiede has been sent to the Gilman Nursing home where she saw SUE MOLCK and CHRISTY ROBINSON working. I sent her and grandpa some money to come out to New York and stay with me. With the letter I also received a newspaper clipping from the Onarga Leader Review stating that Sue and Tom Henson were now married. I guess she decided to settle down in the cozy town of Onarga. Well. I’ve got to get ready for the concert tonight. Love, Mark 27
