Senior Prophecy 32 Bootleg Path Hick-n-Kick, Virginia September 12, 1970 Mrs. Marshall Hurt 111 Harvey Road Needles, California Dear Sally, I have just returned from our old homestead in Onarga. Tales of our old classmates provided many ancedotes. On arriving in Onarga, my first stop was the old brain factory. Who should I see first, but John “Cas-sanova” Brown who is now traffic manager at the Onarga Drag Track. Upon entering the school, I ran across our old classmate, Jane Reed. Jane has taken over the job of redecorating the school. Jane said that Ronnie Steiner had joined the Navy to let the world see him. She also told me about Leon Perkinson. He is now a full-fledged general in the Siberian National Guard. Jane mentioned that Carl Smith is now publicity manager for Brigette Bardot. Driving uptown I stopped in at the Onarga Astonisher where Tom Tomlinson is editor-in-chief. Tom was watching the World Series and Jerry Willson had just hit a grand slam home run to win the Series for the Cardinals. On leaving the Astonisher I saw Air Stewardesses. Eileen Bailey and Janet Koon walking down the street. The girls are working for Onarga Transatlantic Airlines. I entered Walter’s Drug Store to purchase a paper. Upon reading it, I learned that Darrel Niswander and his gang had taken over the Chicago Underworld. Wilma told me that Sandi Link is now head stenographer at DelRey Tech. Wilma also mentioned that Pat Scott is now over in Russia trying to teach the fundamentals of bookkeeping to Khrushchev. Driving by Kissee’s Standard Service, I saw Judy Kissee. They say that Kissee’s is the only place you can get your face lifted and your gas tank filled at the same time. While there, Chet Stumpe pulled up in his “flip-top” Cadillac. His trucks were lined two miles deep waiting to get gas. As I left Kissee’s, the odor from Ross Adkins’ Fiber-glass Barge Factory was quite nauseating. I understand he is doing very well. Since I needed gas. I drove out to Chan’s, now Glen’s. Glen Molck has taken over Chan’s position as chief authority on the aspects of life. Glen told me that Denny Wills is now head Bawana on safari in deepest, darkest Africa. As I traveled to LaHogue, I passed the Gerdes Ranchero. I saw Ramona Gerdes, who is now a full-fledged goucho.
