All of the people shown on this page worked on com- piling this issue of the OMS '58 Parade. Woody remained here for nearly a week working mainly on copy. Zander returned and completed soliciting ads and his copy. Fosteris cartoons came a few days after school all fine and well done, this was a complete job. The Birgerson brothers put in two full days and accomplished a lot of work. Friday and Saturday it was near one a.m. when Biff and Alex', quit. Flannery brought down some snap- shots sorely needed. Chailland took pictures during the year, but most of those are not here. The Misses Eshleman and Booth helped with some of the art work and check- ing. Johnson added several days of typing and pasting up montages. The material is now complete this day of the 6th of june 1958-Now one more complete . mm .... --, D011 He d . KNEELING-HOYCI, Thurbee, Hudson, Lundstrom, Wilcox. INSERTS-Eppler, Flannery. Guardians The position of an Onarga Guardian is one of the most respected in the entire school. This is because the requirements of a Guardian are so high. Only twelve are made each semester and to qualify, a cadet must be one of the top twelve out of the school in points earned. Points are determined by scholastic, athletic, and military accomplishments in effort, performance, attendance, etc. Extra-curricular activities and conduct also play an important part. Once being a Guardian, a cadet is privileged to wear the attractive purple and gold cord on his left shoulder. The number of strands indicate times won and a gold strand indicates the fifth cord won. The record number of cords won by any cadet is eight, won by Merrill Birgerson. P.S. Who is the Kadet,' in non-reg shoes? l29l
