Published by the Annual Staff Onancock High School Anancock, Virginia 1 I Dedication We, the senior class of 1977, wish to dedicate this year’s edition of the TRIDENT to Mr. Lohr, Mr. Savage, and Mr. Poulson, our sponsors. They have endured us for four years. Now we want to thank them for their thoughtfulness and their concern in teaching us during this period of time. I wish . . , Thank goodness they’re gone. Now we can have peace and quiet. Which hand is it under? How many more do I have to do? 5 o nancoc L Uicjh With all sincerity, I hope that these past four years of your life have been both productive and meaningful. It is with regret that I will see you leave. However, you take with you my hope that your life will be full and happy. Earl G. Hoppes, Principal ministration I hope that the years you have spent at Onancock have prepared you for the challenges which you face. May you meet each of the challenges you face with a strong determination, firm will, and a good attitude. When meeting a challenge remember that your attitude means as much as your deeds. I wish each and every one of you the best of luck and a successful future. Dennis Rodgers Custis Assistant Principal Dear Seniors: You know enough now to help begin to liberate man. Let us make the attempt upon ourselves; aided by religion, Let us engrave upon our hearts the commandments of a new morality, Thou shalt not be afraid of thy hidden impulses, thou shalt learn to respect thyself and then thou will love thy neighbor as thyself. Thou shalt respect truth and tell it with kindness and also with firmness to all of thy associates. Th ou shalt face thyself of the distortions which block thy way to His presence, and by that freedom thou shalt commence at last with Him, and the service of truth, the giver of Peace. J. E.
