OFFICERS Hi S M-. President Roberta Hampton V.-President Doug Twyford Secretary Linda Guy Treasurer Linda Lilliston Historian Barbara Melson “JUNIORS OF 1965 99 HISTORY In September of 1962, one of the happiest, most confused classes of all times came to Onancock High. We were a little frightened of the years ahead, but we were eager to start. We had our first class meeting of the year and elected class officers. Jo Anne Chambers, Bonnie Godwin, and Sammie Miles made the basketball team and many of our boys became J. V. football players. It was a very enjoyable year. After a summer of fun, O.H.S. welcomed us as the Silly Sophomores. We were all prepared for a year of hard work and much fun. Class officers were elected and many of us became members of the Beta Club. Nancy Adkins, Jeannie Hart, and Judy VanKleef became new members of the basketball team. This year we returned as the Jolly Juniors. We all missed Terry Nicolls and Walter Marks, but we welcomed Elizabeth Webb and Carson Diggs to our class. First of all we elected class officers and decided on ways of making money. We sold stationery and held bakes. Shortly afterwards, we ordered our class rings. This caused much joy and excitement. It was soon time for our class play and the year passed very rapidly. We are all looking forward to our Senior year. Historian Barbara Melson 30
