Jerry Long Secretary Barbara Fitchett Treasurer WvxvxM OFFICERS Bobby Taylor Vice-President J u N I O R S September 5 saw forty-nine smiling students eager to begin playing the role of Jolly Junior. Mrs. Booth and Mr. Fisher were our homeroom teachers. We welcomed Virginia Valentine, John Eddie Churn, and Roy Duncan into our group. We held several class meetings, electing officers and choosing class projects. We decided to sell Christmas cards, stationery, and candy. Victory dances were held many Friday nights after the football games, and we voted to have the concession stand at these games. Many of the Juniors participated in sporting activities. The cheerleaders from our class were ValEast, Dianne Killmon, Penny Byrd, and Claudia Nottingham. The other boys and girls enjoyed football, basketball, softball, and baseball. The three big events of the year, of course, are the arrival of the cherished class rings, the first class play, and the Junior-Senior Prom. The very busy year will conclude with many fond memories tucked away in the hearts and minds of all the members. We will enjoy this year but at the same time anticipate the climax of all--our SENIOR YEAR 27 Phyllis Parks
