The Beacon Staff of 1 952 invites you to join us in reliving these experiences. As you delve through the pages, may your enjoyment equal ours. ■I O. W. Obaugh Clerk Dr. Thomas N. Jacob Me mber A school system has every right to be as good as its administrative per¬ sonnel. Through cooperative efforts of County Superintendent, Henry A. Wise, Local Board Chairman, Granville C. Northam, Clerk, O. W. Obaugh, and Member, Dr. Thomas N. Jacob; Onan- cock High School has added a business education course, full-time instruction, an athletic coach, a third foreign Lan¬ guage, a higher mathematics course, a top level science department, and a guidance department. Our physical plant has been kept in excellent repair. We, the Seniors of ’52, take pride in dedicating our Annual, “The Beacon”, to the School’s Administrative Person¬ nel. Mr. Chadderdon, we feel that we have been indeed fortunate in having you for our princ ipal and counselor for eight years. Your interest and guidance have inspired us to strive for the finer things of life. As a result of your wise counseling, we feel that we will be better prepared to shoulder the future responsibilities that may come JUst 0 % r SUE B. MASON EARL G. The light and inexperienced eleven developed a hard hitting defense to reduce these odds and hold the opposition to minor scores. The season as a whole was satisfactory and the team of ’52 should be one of the best. FRONT ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT: Thomas, Barnes, Henderson, Lewis, Turner.
