FLAGS Of MANY NATIONS PHILIPPING EN CAMPMENT 1 F 41 K gi A Q HONGCONING ONAMIA YOUTHB ATTEND NATIONAL JAMBOREE Roger Lindquist and Earl Ireland were pioked as dele- gates for the 1950 Boy Scout Jamboree last summer at Valley Forge. This was quite an honor bestowed upon the boys, showing that not only were they first-class scouts but also boys of good charac- ter. Prior to attending the Jamboree, the boys went to a training camp at St. Cloud to learn the use of equipment that would be issued them. During their stay at Valley Forge they were taken on tours of various near-by cities: Manhatten, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington. After returning home the boys had only one gripe. The train they rode home was held up three times because of the following: An engine was not available to pull the train, a steam boiler burst in the engine, and last but not least a broken drive shaft.
