Aix ,- If ' ' lla 5 XA -L l X f tx' - RX 5 Xp, L it T' T ill , s 1, ' or 1, f W w L- B VII ,,, .Nu X , Y 4 1 cgi - f f Twelve years ago last fall, five members of the class of '50 presented themselves at the door of the Onalaska Grade School to begin their careers in Readin', 'Ritin', and 'Rithmetic . These members were Ruth Johnson, Patty Judd, Darlene Spoons, Patty Rogers and Jim Shore. Others who entered at that time have moved away or left school for other reasons. During the years which followed, additions to the class were made from various other schools, and at the beginning of their seventh school year, Onalaska District 14229 was consolidated with outlying areas, and a much larger group occupied the seventh grade room under the supervision of Mrs. Inez Duncan, and when the class started as eager freshmen, they numbered forty-three. The main event of the freshmen year was initiation into high school by the sopho- mores, and the next year we, in turn, helped a greener f'bunch over the threshold into the mysteries of higher education. The junior year was marked by the production of the Junior play - The Whole Tovm's Talking , and the Junior-Senior picnic held at Offut Lake. The Juniors took over the candy sales when the Seniors left on their annual trip to British Columbia, and they were well launched on their Senior Program by the time fall came and the class was actually on the last lap of high school career. We had lost and regained some members. The new ones of this year were: Shirley Hale and Darlene Martin. Students who have been with us during our three previous years were: Waldamae Bender, Joyce and Joan Crawford, Sylvia Miller, Helen Thormahlen, Laura and Flora Nichols, Helen Dixon, Barbara Daniels, Jeanne Harris, Helen Jacobsen, Duveen Noble, Colleen Proteau, Keith and Robert Skinner, Gerald Turner, Mona White, Marjorie Wright, Leona Webb, and John Shepherd, Dick Schroeder, Dorothea Bowden, Lorraine and Viola Ralph. The main events were: Senior trip to Canada, Senior Ball a.nd Senior Play. The Officers for this year were: President .T ack Rice, Vice President, Howard Kalnoskig Secretary, Darlene Spoons, Treasurer, Ruth Johnson, Sargeant-at-Arms, Darrell Burden. Q f r 45? MQ!
