We have three new members. They are Phil Topel, Bud Marcus, and Lloyd Oelke. They earned the required amount of quarters in football to get their letter. We have two senior boys whom Iwould like to salute for they are four year lettermen in football. They are John Renstrom and Don Hurd. Other senior football lettermen are Gerald Holte, Vernon Zulegar, Bob Poss, Peter Berg, Mike Lambert, Wesley Tabbert, and Marvin Horman. I would like to honor the rest of the 53 football team mem- bers also. The way we raised money througlh the year was by selling at the Holmen and Bangor home games. Also we plan an O'Club party in February. For t e homecoming game we were unfortunate as we did not get the football pins on time to sell at the parade. We are thinking about giving each O'Club senior a gift to remember in the future his years at O.H.S. Our president is Marvin Horman, Vice -President is Mike Lambert, Secretary-Treasurer is Wesley Tabbert. Our O'Club adviser is Coach Ralph McKenna. 33

The Girls Athletic Association held their first meeting in September, under the leadership of our gym teacher Mrs. McKenna. The point system was undertaken once more to give the girls in the G.A.A. a chance to earn a letter if they ob- tain the required number of points. These points are made by attending the meetings, outside athletic activities, after-school athletic activities, serving on committees, and participating in skits for the pep meetings. The G.A.A. voted to sponsor the Cheerleaders this year. Among other things they purchased megephones for the Cheerleaders. The seventeenth annual G.A.A. Christmas Banquet was held on December 1'7, 1953. A wonderful supper was served followed by the a pearance of Santa , Mr. Mieden. A fine program was given followed by a dance. The music was furnished by the Swing Band. The Sadie Hawkins party, scheduled for April ll, is to be very informal but not a hard-time party. This is the final event for the G .A . A. Officers were: President, Norma Pischke: Vice-President, Muriel Marcus: Secretary, Marcia Morkwed: Treas- urer, Karen Wilhelm: Point Secretary, Ruth Huggett. - 's , 1 s. f X -S. K U X Q . .
