The pepband under the direction ofMr. Loyd Mieden, has addedgreatly to the high school spirit. They have played at all of the pep rallies, basketball an football games. The OHS Concert Band, under the able directions of Mr. Loyd Mieden, participated in three concerts--Fall, Mid-winter, and Spring--as well as playing at the Christmas Vesper ' Service. The Boys Quartette isone of the most favorite singing groups in the high school. People never get tired of their sing- ing and they are asked to sing at every school event. So far this year the Boys Quartette has sung at the Christmas Concert and the Jr. Class Play. The boys who sing in the Quartette are Juniors and they also sang last year. The new attraction of O.H.S. is the mellow music of the Swing Band. It was organized by Mr. Meiden and a group of interested musicians in the fall of '52, Their first appearance was to play for the Homecomirag. They have also play- ed for the Carnival dance.
