John Gale, president: Diana Birge, vice- presidenty Ruth Johnson, secretary: Keith Johnson, treasurer: and Sigrid Larson, clerk, all worked in close co-operation with Mrs. Josephine lvlattox and lvlrs. Margaret Hen- derson to malce the Council an etticient and well-run organization. l-lelping develop more intelligent leader- ship and promoting better citizenship through planning and direction ot the stu- dents' own society and school activities, the Council sponsored all-school activities. Fun Night, Career Day, Citizenship Week, a Senior Scholarship dance and the Student Council and Commission banquet were pro- iects sponsored wholly or in part by the Stu- dent Council.

Taking temperatures, administering minor tirst aid and copying data tor accident rec- ords were the l l nurse assistants who aided Miss l-telen Jelinelc during the year. Aiding lvlrs, Elma Simpson and lvlrs. Agnes Nilsson in 220 and O30 libraries by shelving boolcs, checking in and out boolcs and running errands were the 43 deslc at- tendants and messengers in the two libraries. Recording each absentee were tour girls who aided Miss Clare Carey and Leonard Bond issue absence and tardy checks each mornirig trorn 7:45 to 8:30 a. m. 22
