A A flal f f it . . i 20 To bring the wishes ot the student body into closer relationship with the administra- tion and taculty was the purpose ot the 32 elected representatives ot the Student Council. John Gale, president: Diana Birge, vice- presidenty Ruth Johnson, secretary: Keith Johnson, treasurer: and Sigrid Larson, clerk, all worked in close co-operation with Mrs. Josephine lvlattox and lvlrs. Margaret Hen- derson to malce the Council an etticient and well-run organization. l-lelping develop more intelligent leader- ship and promoting better citizenship through planning and direction ot the stu- dents' own society and school activities, the Council sponsored all-school activities. Fun Night, Career Day, Citizenship Week, a Senior Scholarship dance and the Student Council and Commission banquet were pro- iects sponsored wholly or in part by the Stu- dent Council.
