SOUTH PACIFIC Performing A rt Excellence “South Pacific” was adapted from James Mitchiner's Pul- itzer winning novel “Tales of the South Pacific ” by Rodg- ers and Hammerstein. Miss Thomas and Mr. Let ham star- red in Oly's production of this exciting, humorous and dra- matic musical. Glen Slight was the executive director; he designed the sets, organized the vocal numbers, and directed the dramatic aspects of the play with the help of Doug Bishop. Linda Blackham devised the choreography for dancing sailors, nurses, and natives. Over one hundred students participated, not only in dramatic roles, but also as musicians, stage technicians, artists, and student directors. “There is Nothing like a Dame. Men’s Choir. “I’m Gonna Wash that Man Right Out-a My Hair.” “Two coconuts at the Thanksgiving Follies.” “Nurses in Love with a Wonderful Guy?”
