Revisiting their childhood Kathy Hanson and Jennifer Neal carry their dolls for security. Showing Our Spirit Spirit Week-that one stimulating week when students and teachers dressed in clothes they never imagined get- ting into, let alone being seen in public! On Monday of Homecoming week, students walked the halls dressed as though they should have been at Disney- land, cameras hanging from their necks and shades pro- tecting their eyes from the Washington sun. Apparently, Oly had made it as one of the world's favorite vacation spots! Tuesday, the whole tenor of campus changed: sen- ior citizens took over. Friends looked 50 years older. Ju- nior Jesse Yao went to the extreme of learning to knit, giving him something to do while he sat in his wheelchair. By Wednesday, peace and brotherly love over took the campus. Hippies and beatniks joined together at break for a Peace Walk. Teddy bears and Cabbage Patch dolls came to school on Thursday when students reverted back to their elementary school days. Even math teacher Merle Nelson arrived at school, looking ready for a day of kinder- garten. Dressed by mother, Nelson had his personalized lunch money envelope pinned to his shirt. Friday was the traditional blue and white day, some students even paint- ed their faces to show their spirit. For those who decided to join in the fun, another spirit- ed Homecoming week was a success. i Qh. Chief Big Bear proudly displays his loincloth
