CPA l'o create better interest and understanding of ac- counting, to have social functions for the group, and to aid the ASB staff in their training program is the pur- pose of CPA, stated john Millam, adviser. Projects throughout the year consisted of field trips, speakers on accounting, social affairs, and a regular an- nual banquet. Leading the club during the year was Tom Morgan, president: Marlynne Hannon, vice presi- dent, Linda McGuire, secretary, and Mary I.ou Karl, treasurer. CORRESPONDENCE CLUB Correspondence Club fills a particular need in O.H.S. lt is a clearing house for the many letters that come to the school from students in other lands and from various places in the United States requesting pen pals and infor- mation about X'Vashington and its capital, Olympia. Heading the club in their projects this year was Hallie Niemi, president. Among projects which have PARTICIPATING IN interested the club are: sponsoring a European war or- phan for a time under the Foster Parents Plang member- ship in the 'l'hurston County Child Guidance Associa- tiong and contributing to the Mental Health Association. The club is advised by Miss Alma Olson. LIBRARY ASSISTANTS Being Library Assistants this year were fifteen hard- working students whose duties were to check out, shelve, and card booksg take attendanceg put cards in card cata- logg and tidy the room. SCIENCE CLUB Presiding over monthly meetings ol' the Science Club this year was Bill johnson, president. Among the activi- ties of the club were field trips, talks, movies, participat- ing in the Science Fair, and social events. The purpose of the Science Club is to promote bet- ter understanding in science and what it does, remarked Sherman Brough, adviser for the club.
