UIlite Assistants gives students a basic knowledge ol ollice work while relieving the pressure ol' routine work ol the secretaries, stated Mrs. Miriam Reed, ad- viser ol the group. 'I'hcir main duties consist ol' deliver- ing messages, working on attendance, phoning parents ol absent students, and some typing. Secretarial Science Club develops personality and charac ter trails necessary to success in the business world besides stimulating interest in secretarial work. The group has gone on licld trips, had class programs, and also helped with clerical work. The purpose of FFA is to provide extra-curricular activities ol' a rural or agricultural nature for boys en- rolled in vocational agriculture. stated Nels Hanson. adviser. lt also provides leadership experience today lor the boys who shall grow into our agricultural leaders ol' tomorrow. During the chapter's lirst year in exist- ence at O.H.S. it had a Christmas tree and light bulb sale and had a stand at the school carnival. Made up ol' representatives Irom all the second year language classes, the Foreign Language Council regulated inter-language programs such as carol singing and the purchasing ol' pins. 'I'he main function oi' the year was the Foreign Language IJIZIIHIIICI, .-Xrottnd the XVorld. Such may be the request of a member of the PA crew, for the pur- pose of the Public Address Crew is to take care of an- nouncements on the system at school, games, and assem- blies. A member of the crew was in the office each period to help carry out this program. 'l'ilford Gribble was adviser for this group. STAGE CREW Having the important job of flashing the lights, pulling the curtains, and shining the spotlight at just the right moment were members of the Stage Crew. Advised by -Iohn Fuller they took care of all stage details for plays, concerts, and assemblies. PROIECTION CREW Y'Vhenever a film was seen in a classroom throughout the year, it was being operated by a member of the Pro- jection Crew. These boys operated the motion picture projectors to promote visual aids in the classroom and also had the duty of showing movies during lunch periods when there was bad weather. The crew chief this year was Ten Gantenbein while Tilford Gribble was the adviser. LOST AND FOUND Under the direction of Star johnson, girls worked in the Lost and Found desk near the cafeteria during both lunch periods. Almost all lost and found articles were turned in and recorded there so that the owners could find them.
