COMMITTEES SERVING SENATE Headed by Diana Dickinson, ASB vice president, the Senate niet regularly to discuss any prohlenis that had to do with student welfare. Senators are democratically nominated and elected to represent the needs and the desires ol' the individual student. The Senate is democracy in action. Students learn about democracy in the classroom, hut in the Senate they actually practice it, infornied Don Hunt, principal of Olympia High School. STUDENT SELF-CONTROL Student Sell'-Control was begun with the niutual agreement ol' faculty and students two years ago. Since then it has made a lot of progress. This year, headed hy Carole Spendlovc. chairman, and XV. Shollenherger, adviser. the connnittee has niade niany contributions to the program.
