Decorations were handled hy the Soeial eonunittee. Globe Trot was the theme and carried out in decorations and eostunies. Prizes were given lor the niost original and authentic' eostunies. .X husy year was completed with the Mothers tea held May ll in the OHS ealateria. Silver liellsl' was the thenie ol' the Girls auxiliary Nlothers lea held on Deeenlber 14. He- sides putting' on a sueeesslul tea, the eluh sends seraphoolcs to Madigan hospital and carries on other projects during the year. Girls auxiliary ineinhers also help hy serving lor the Girls eluh Mothers lea in May. During the year the Boys elulm sells book covers lo raise money. They also have a Dads night. On May ll the hoys treated their dads Io an evening ol entertainment. Exhibitions lroin the chemistry and physics laboratories. art elasses and nletal shop were shown. .X line program was given and relreshnients were served. Page Twenty THEY FHA Council FHA Council is the ruling' body ol' the lfu- ture Home-makers ol' iXmerica. This club helps to promote interest in luture homemaking, and helps to unite the cooking' and sewing' classes ol' Olympia high school. Their biggest project ol' the year is a Mother-daughter banquet. Members are elected to the council and they must maintain a grade point average ol' 2.5. Mrs. Martha -Iones serves as adviser lor the FHA council. Debate Squad 'l'o further interest in Debate and other speech activities ol' a competitive nature. and to promote an awareness and understanding' ol' cur- rent world problems is the purpose ol' the De- baters. james Carlson gives much ol' his time acting' as coach for the debate squad. Cashiers Serving the school in an important capacity and the gaining' ol' valuable business experience are the prime values to be had from serving' as a cashier. They handle all business transactions and are located in the .XSB olliee. Ralph l.ind- say is the cashiers' adviser. Foreign Language Council Planning the annual Foreign language ban- quet in the spring' is the chief function ol' the Language council.
