big task-keeping hun- dreds of girls in harmony. Elizabeth Crockett supervises Girls club activities, advises her feminine charges in both p e r s o n al and educational problems. Being dean of girls is no picnic, but she likes it. lthough class instruction still is considered the most important part of the high school student's schedule, much of modern education comes through the social intercourse and cooperative effort afforded through participation in extracurricular activities. many of which are interwoven with curricular pro- grams. Teachers often labor long hours after regular instruction time to help students in these activities. Such undertakings as athletics, dramatics, journalism, debate, associated student body activities, public ad- dress system, motion picture operation, stage work, dances, mothers teas and Dads night involve careful and detailed supervision on the part of the faculty advisers.
