Cohan, Dale llume portrayed the leading role of the Vagabond both nights, November 28 and 29. A Night In Sun Valley was the theme for the senior ball, December 6. Maxine Hawkins, chairman. and Marcheta King, assistant chairman, were aided by the senior advisers, Miss Mabel Stromme, Alan Gellermann and Miss Vivian Peeling. Juniors and seniors competed for best attendance at the ball, the seniors winning. During intermission Rob Eitreim, senior president, threw a pie in the face of Larry O'Leary, junior prexy. Second semester officers were: Neil Malnerich, president: Wally Gross, vice president: Normajeanne Zintheo, secretary, .-'lvl Q ' u-'f'3..,f',t,11h-.Zh,i,. Jack Peringer and Mel Drescher, representatives to the Boys club board of control, and John Hamilton, yell leader. The class of '42 put on a lively Dress-up day April 11. Ev- erything from takeoffs on juniors to a feminine football squad was represented. War savings stamps were awarded as prizes for the most novel costumes to: The Garbageman's Family Virginia Forbes, Ward Rockey, Shirlee Miller, Bob Eitreim. Marcheta King and Tim Randall: Philip Morris Girl, Miney Yasuig An Angel XVith a Dirty Face, Duane Christofferson. and The Black Widow, Wally Gross. Reigning over the May dance May 2 were Normajeanne Zintheo, queen, and Ward Rockey, king. Others in the royal court were Marye Farmer, Shirlee Miller, Sylvia Gilfilen, Mary Elizabeth Masemore, Lou Ann Schilling, Patricia Sulli- van, Bob Eitreim, Fred Keeton, Bob Flem, Art McCarty. Neil Malnerich and Bud Mowell. Jack Van Eaton, prime minister, crowned the royal pair, after Wally Gross. court jester and wearer of the bells, heralded the approach of the royal procession.
