FOREWO RD Throughout the centuries, Peace has been that elusive treasure which men have held dearly for a moment, only to have it slip from their grasp time and time again. Pessimists for ages have branded wor as one of man's instincts, but for people who are op- timistic about the future, this cyni- cism is unfounded War is the most deadly curse that mankind has ever known, In the past when war was fought conventionally, it was a threat of great destruction, but today with the massive power which man now wields, it is a threat of utter annihi- lation. Peace must be attained if the human race is to survive. lt has been said that Peace will come to man when man realizes that war is not the answer to the world's problems. It was many years ago when this idea was stated, and man must hold hope for the future now as he did then. A time to love, and a time to hate, A time of war, and a time of peace. Ecclesiastes 3:8
