COMMERCIAL Olnefs commerce department has always adapted itself to changing conditions. taking the initiative to inaugurate Distributive Education. It was also among the Hrst departments to offer Cooperaive Clerical Training. Students complet- ing this course find themselves well equipped to facc thc business world. HOME ECONOMICS Throughout the past twenty-five vears, the Home Economics Department has done an out standing job in instilling in pupils a g,-mtg! esteem for the value of a good home. VOCATIONAL ART In addition to the regular art classes, three courses are offered by the Art Department to prepare students for various vocations which in- volve some facet of artistic knowledge. These are Art Appreciation, which stresses interior dec- orating and fashiong Applied Art, which shows how to use a knowledge of home furnishings and clothingg and finally, the Vocational Art Course which provides training for those pupils who intend to complete their training in an Art School. INDUSTRIAL ARTS The demand for engineers is an ever-in- creasing one in this modern world. The pre- college preparation for work in this Held is offered by the Industrial Arts Course. The course also provides training in other Fields of industrial work which will give students training necessary for immediate employment. 9
