FF 4' J' .ff 'Q It is with deep appreciation of their indefatigable efforts, that we, the graduating class of June 1946, dedicate our record book to Mrs. Scanlan and Mr. Marhefka. Our class has been singularly fortunate in possessing two of the finest teachers in the school as our advisors. With a deep feeling of gratitude, we realize the many difficult tasks of Mrs. Scanlanls and Mr. Marhefka's posi- tion. XfVe are grateful for the guidance and assistance they have given us during the past three terms. Our task has been to ab- sorb the knowledge contained in our text books. VVe have learned to understand and appreciate the great works of litera' tureg the theory and practice of problems in physics, algebra, and chemistry, and the great past and glorious future of our country. Their task was one of the immediate present. All thoughts of our class trip, class day, and dances, would have fallen by the wayside if preparation for them had been left to us alone. But, our sponsors, freely giving of their own time, have helped us with all these projects. Their guiding hand kept our actions con- stantly to our purpose and within the bounds of common sense, giving the program a unity, without which it would have been practically worthless. Our sponsors' job has been to minister to the likes and dislikes of not merely a few individuals, but rather a student body of over four hundred, yet, reviewing the many happy hours we have spent, we cannot recall an instance when we have not benefited from their sound judgment. Al- though they, too, have out-of-school interests of their own, they gave unselfishly of their time and wise counsel. Theirs, indeed, has been a noble sacrificeg for they could hope for no reward other than the satisfaction of having done a job Well, and done it well they have. To this reward the members of the graduating class wish to add their sincere and whole-hearted gratitude. WVe can say nothing more, but thanks and ever thanks.
