The election of Student Association cfficers was different this term. The fact that Evelyn Loeblc was unanimously chosen president left only the vicefpresidential and Senatorial offices to bc filled, Speeches, posters, and official returns featured election time festivities. Robert Gibson won the vice-presidential post and is seen above conf gratulating Zula Farrior who later became president of the Senate. BQUT this time, I became extremely interested in Student Association work. The S.A. was to me the biggest bargain in Qlney, rivaled only by the nickel hotfdog. For only ten cents I could vote in S.A. elections, attend the S.A. party, get reductions at Athletic events, belong to clubs, ad infinitum. Whenex'er aid was needed the S.A. was always set to lend a helping hand. New ideas were forever being formulated, and these things helped me to appreciate Olney High more fully. As I watched other stu' dent leaders having a good time in S.A. work, I couldnt wait till the day that I might be elected senator or something.
