Volleyball Winning every game, the varsity team earned the championship of the Volley Ball League for 1957. Coach Eleanor Philipps must have cleliverecl a pep talk equal to one of the late Knute Roclcne's, for it was the urge to win that was responsible more than anything else for the girls, victories. Hoclcey Olneyys hockey team may not win the championship, hut never let it he said that it does not play gallantly and well under the tutelage of Miss Martha Gable. The team, however, is at a great disadvantage in having an asphalt practice held, for when the girls play on grass at other schools, they find it difficult to adjust their playing to the slower field. It was hecause of this difficulty that the team bowed to Abington, 5 to 0. However, the Trojanettes defeated Hallahan Catholic hy a score ol 2 to 0.
