These boys should know that mimeograph backwards and forwards by now. A new dance, the Mardi Gras Ball, was sponsored by the Honor Society. But who wants to stay inside on such a perfect spring day? The drum section follows the music as the cymbal crashes brilliantly. Mr. Kohler always has time to help members of his biology class with their work. Merle Koenig is in there after that re- bound. A familiar sight to anyone who attended Olney is Mr. Loudenslager at his desk. Here's our new cafeteria. By the way, the menu for that day featured turkey and all the trimmings. Q ,!! And who'II ever forget our play, The Boarding House Reach? We were so worried over all the goofs in dress rehearsal, but everything went fine on the night. The l959 Olnette-after months of work, here it is. We've been working toward this all through high school, hoping to put out the best book ever. Speaking of the Olnette, there are the editor and the assistant ironing out some problem, There was a lot to do in the senior year, but you can bet there was plenty of time for fun, too, That's Mike Rublaitus hiding behind that Mad, with his feet propped up on Mrs. L's desk. We haven't forgotten that picture of our sponsor, Mrs, Loudenslager. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank her for all the en- couragement and help which she has given us this past year and to assure her that it is she whom we will remember most when we look back on our senior year. -Class of l959 Yo- x September School Bad Weather Z Openung ot School School gf Lark l2 B'9 Mlxer School a Weather l9 No School Teachers Meet School O Weather October February lncluvndual Plctures Sensor Pnctures lnstrument Demonstratlon Cheerleaders Try outs Hallowe en Dance No School Teachers Meet V Science pfogronq SOlO Contest at Marcin Gras Ba No School Ba Weather No School Ba Weather No School a Weather 3 1 tv-5 N W ov-vfdgg .IL H A :Down 1 srumos November March 7 Fall Festnval l3 Jlm Nessle s Nature Show l3 Bonture Rally l-4 Band Contest at Napoleon 28 No School Teachers Meet 20 Fnsh Supper December Aprul 4 Senlor Play 3 Donkey Basketball Game ll Mothers Club Banquet lo County Musnc Festlval ZO Group Pnctures l7 Popularlty Dance 2 Chrnstmas Vacatlon May JUN-'0 Y l2 County Honor Socuety Dnnner D School Beguns 23 Prom l5 Pancake Supper 28 Graduation 3 , , F 1, 4 .JL 1 a . One of the important ones was Pemberville Fair, where we had the honor of being the only band from Wood County to take a place. Other perform- ances were Fireman's Field Day, Wood County Fair, Oak Harbor Fair, Strawberry Festival, Holland, Ohio, West End Parade. We had a Band Day program on November l l. We have also performed at all home basketball games, besides appearing at the Wood County Tournament. Some members entered solos in the District Competition held at Bowling Green State University. Twelve members were chosen for Wood County Band, also held at Bowling Green State University. We also entered the District Band Contest held at Napoleon, Ohio. Thanks to the School Board and Band Boosters for helping us increase our instrumentation. ln the past year we have added an oboe, baritone horn, bass clarinet, bass drum for marching, and a tenor saxophone for our band. We are also very proud of our new American and School Flags purchased for us by the Band Boosters.
