She earned her State Degree in 1956. She entered Interscholastic League in typing, spelling, and ready-writing. She went to state in ready-writing in 1955. Her other extracurricular activities have been Junior Music Club, and Junior and Senior plays. She served as secretary of the Junior Class. Margaret plans to enter the University of Texas and major in English. -cd ' 1 Tommy Bass was selected as Salutatorian with a 92. 24 average. Tommy has been an outstanding student in High School. He has been a member of the Student Council for three years, was District Par- liamentarian his Junior year, was Most Friend ly Sophomore nominee, and was selected Most Friendly Boy in High School his Junior and Senior years, and went to Boys' State in '55, He was elected Junior Class President, Junior Lion, and was Student Body President his Senior year. Here they made their home for the next week, under the leadership of Coach Riley and Coach Sinclair. Their time was spent in working, playing, eating, and sleeping together, learning that team work is essential both on and off the field and that sportsmanship involves honest rivalry and graceful acceptance of defeat.
