This has indeed been an exciting and victorious year. This is Victory Year has been more than a slogan, it has been a glori- ous reality. Victory spiritually — academically — numerically and materially. The completion of the Ten Year Development Program was celebrated on Founders ' Day. The climax of this tremendous event was the dedication of Reed Hall of Science. This was the fifth and final building envisioned for the ten year period, 1957-1967. Our student enrollment is five hundred above that which was envisioned by the Planning Commission and the Board of Trustees when the development program was launched in 1957. The professors assigned Divisional and Departmental Chair- manships this year will match the best leadership of any Christian Liberal Arts College in the nation. They seek better facilities Dr. Donald Gibson Vice President-Field Services Development Dr. Paul Schwada Vice President-Academic Affairs Dean of the College The office of Vice-President in charge of Field Servi- ces and Development is occupied by Dr. Donald Gib- son. In this position he strives for support of Olivet in all the churches of the educational zone, recruits new students, and raises funds. Filling the new position of Vice-President in charge of Academic Affairs and Dean of the College. Paul L. Schwada has done a remarkable job. Among his re- sponsibilities this past year have been all matters per- taining to instructional and educational affairs, such as arranging teaching loads, recruiting new faculty, and scheduling final exams. It is also his responsibility to serve as Director of the Summer School Session.
