Your yearbook highlights some of the events and activities which have characterized the year. While our natural tendency is to observe the visible progress and growth on the campus as evidenced by a growing enrollment and a changing skyline, equally significant advancements have been made in the steadily rising standards of quality in the intrinsic attributes of the College. During the past decade Olivet has striven to become a better college. Our aim now is to become the best possible. In the years to come as you peruse this book you may recall that you were in college during these important days of progress. You may be reminded that your experiences with people were more vital than your experiences with buildings, that your exploration of values enabled you to select the right ones, and that a broad multi-dimensional education was more desirable than a fragmentary one. I trust that your readers will enjoy this book both now and in the years to come. If this publication serves its purpose Well it will bring its readers many hours of happiness and fond recollection.
