FOREWORD N Tl-lE following pages 'rhe O.l-l.S. Congress siafl presenls an accounl of 'rhe school year I947-48 wilh ils many aclivilies, ils hours of worlc and momenls of fun. School began wilh 'rhe usual confusion everywhere. Sludenls were busy making new friends and renewing old acquainlances. Freshmen appeared wilh bewildered expressions on lheir laces. Finally everyone sellled down lo worlc. lnleresl and enfhusiasm were soon aroused by loolball, and laler by baskelball and olher sporls. Meanwhile The Junior play gol under way. There were assemblies bolh educalional and enlerlaining. The Sophomores slarled somelhing new by producing a one-acl play, Nor Such A Goose , in one of lhese assemblies. Everyone loolced forward mosl of all lo lhe vacafions, which were many lhis year. ln March, Mr. Winlers was again here lo direcl lhe musical comedy, Fire Away which proved a success. The musical de- parlmenl lcepl up lhis pace wilh 'rhe usual conceris, displaying an abundance of lalenl. l947-48 was a full year for everyone, bringing our The scholaslic abilily as well as lhe exlracurricular lalenls oi fhe sludenls.
