SENIOR WILL We, the Senior Class of nineteen hundred and fifty-six, City of Olds, County of Henry, State of Iowa, United States of America, being, according to the judgment of our teachers, of reasonably sound mind, but according to the most eminent physicians, unable to spend another year or even a semester in such environment, do make and publish this, our last Will and Testament. Pleasant, Iowa. wx IQ X4 r f .,,.f,.:- SENIOR CLASS -t 5 PROPHECY Four score and twenty five years ago our great grandfathers graduated from Olds Institution of Mental Torture. Since then all have passed away and have been transmigrated into some other form of life. Just what these forms are, were until recently, unknown. However, after many years of extensive research Professor Kidere has come up with this report on the fowl theory of transmigration--which is decidedly for the birds. He says, lt is my conviction that Mother Nature intended for her subjects to exist in two completely different forms of lifeg one of which may be completely unrelated to the other. For instance, that one speedy chap, Royce Miller, is now a contented turtledove who finds satisfaction in fathering his own little nest. Those of you who are lovebirds will agree that there is nothing more annoying than a snoopy bird- watcher--Fred Anderson and Marjorie Mullin might not have admitted it in their first life, but now they resent anyone's prying eyes. Perched high on a limb, a colorful parrot, David Wenger, is having diffi- culty saying anything because a pelican, Frances Erwin, persists in telling him fishy stories. This chatter- ing disturbs Norma Abrahamson, the night owl as she attempts to catch up on her sleep. An early birdie, otherwise known as Laris Shelman, further adds to the disturbance with advice on how to get to bed on time. His interest in the conversation wanes, however, as he hears the golden tones of Edward Evans the humming bird bubbling forth from his ruby throat. In a nearby field is busy Duayne Benson who is now satisfied being a brown thrasher instead of a binder. Suddenly big John Peterson, a fat legged ostrich, comes galloping by, kicking mud on an innocent bystandet ---- that dirty birdie David Evans. Carol Graber that ever loving slick chick, who witnessed the mishap, flew to his aid and kindly gave him directions to the nearest birdbath. Probably the bird who has the largest appetite is a vulture, Marlene Jones. For this reason she seems to have a bad influence on another Marlene. Whenever Marlene Anderson, a mocking bird, sees the vulture stuffing herself, she tries to eat just as much. In the neighborhood lives a mischievious catbird, Lyle Conrad, who likes to crow about the meals he has made of other over-stuffed birdies. A bald eagle, Ann Mullin, lamenting the fact that her precious hair has disappeared but welcomes a carrier pigeon, Margaret Evans, with a supply of hair rejuvenator. W Q 7 ,Aw Sponsor: 0. T.
