Jtmron cuss PLAY THANK You, nm. Plnxsw' Theordore Wakefield has not always been unhappy! Prior to the in- vention of television he was a perfectly normal American family man. However, his wife's interest in things video, his younger daughter's obsession with the dance, Joan's devotion to drama and Stan's love for 'old thingsn---all these developments render Theodore helpless, and a fit subject for a psychiatrist. lr. Conrad Parker, who rents the guest room arrives at the conclusion that this Wakefield family is an ex- ception, not the rule--and the Wakefield bubble bursts! Cast of Characters Theordore Wakefield, head of the rlotous family largaret Wakefield, his unpredictable wife Joan Wakefield, their daughter of 16 Stan Wakefield, their son, a high school senior Beth Wakefield, their lively daughter of 13 Conrad Parker who rents the guest room lark Cooper, Joan's boy friend Helen Fields, the most popular girl in school Carrie Bloom, who owns the lot next door Jessie Bloom, Carr1e's sister Homer Quinn, salesman William Tolander larie Swenson- larilyn Spangler Warren Olson Virginia Butcher Russell Boshart Roger Swanson Dorothy Reschly larilyn Hudson Doris lolander Clarence Roth SENIOR CLASS PLKY UDEAD OF THE NIGHTN Alice Gardner, a young radio writer, goes to Holbrook lanor a de- serted old mansion asa country road owned by her fiance, Steve Holbrook, in order to complete an important radio script in surroundings of peace and quiet. She is accompanded by her maid, Jasmine---one of the most screamingly funny colored comedy characters ever written into a play. But instead of finding Holbrook Manor quiet and deserted as they had ex- pected Alice and Jasmine discover that it is peopled by the strangest collection of Wnutsu ever gathered together under one roof, including 'H1tler,n 'lussol1ni,n 'Queen El1zabeth,n 'Pocahontas' andnRockefeller.F They are under the care of Dr. Lawson, a strange psychiatrist, and Irs. Egg, the sinister housekeeper. Also present in the house is Glenn, a young man who claims to be crazy but who can be exceedingly sane at times, as Alice learns. What all these people are doing at Holbrook lanor is part of the mystery that unfolds as the play continues on it cockeyed course. Alice becomes involved in a nefarious spy ring, and that her safety and her very life---also Jasmine's life---are in grave danger. By the time the happy ending is reached there have been many chills, thrills and much laughter.
