Ano 6 1 c ao! Acziw 4 HONOR BANQUET 1 The Olds Honor Banquet, sponsored by the P.T.A. was held on March 31, giving recognition to the athletic, music and declamatory groups. After a delicious ham dinner the following program was given: Toastmaster--Leslie Anderson: lusic Recognition. vocal and band--Miss Hunter, Declamatcry Honors--lr. larahsllg Athletic, Cheerleading, and Manager Awards--lr. Hannum and lr. Brostrom, Vocal Concert--Morrell Chorus. SENIOR CLASS TRIP Cliibihl aboard a chartered bus early on the morning of April 28, the wide awake seniors started out for the big city of Chicago, anxious to cram all the excitment and fun that was possible into the three days they were there. They were accompanied by lr, and Irs. Brostrom. Among the sights they saw and enjoyed, after finding theirrooms at the Harrison Hotel, were the Planetarium, Brookfield Zoo, China Town and the Ghetto and the Tribune and Wrigley Buildings. A boat ride on Lake Nichi- gan visiting the Argon Ballroom, a baseball game and shopping at Marshall F1eld's also proved to be much fun and very interesting. Sunday evening they collected all their belongings and again climbed aboard the bus--this time to return to Olds very tired but proud and happy to have been able to see some of the big city of Chicago. They were very glad to be back in Olds again londay finding that the big city life was too strenous to have continued it much longer. TH JUNIOR-SENIOR BANQUET The Junior-Senior Banquet was held lay 16, 1950, at the Burlington Ho- tel st 6:30 P.l. The theme of the banquet was NAn Old Fashioned Gardenn. The tables in the banquet room were very beautifully decorated with various kinds of spring flowers. The menu consisted of Blood Root, Bird of Paradise, Golden PawPaw Sweet Psa, Snow on the lountain, Orange Blossom, Bleeding Heart, Bitterroot And leadow Sweet. The program for the evening was: Goldenrod by Marilyn Spangler, Palm Leaf by Jack Boal, Country Gardens by Doris lolander Buttercup by lr. lar- shall, Laurel by Dorothy Reschly When You Wore a Tulip by Bill Tolander, Rosemary by Delores Swanson, Oxalls by Herle Unkrich, My Wild Irish Rose by larie Swenson, Lily by lr. Brostrom, and Four Leaf Clover by Russell Bos- hart. RA
