CLASS PROPHECY Have you seen the latest edition of Burpee's Garden Book? We ran across some very special features that might interest you. Carl Reschly was arrested for making records. His latest release was, uNever Trust a Womann. Virginia Swanson was chosen Mrs. America following her marriage to Jimmy Evans of Winfield. She still uses Ipana toothpaste. Charles Messer won 850.00 for his essay on VWhy I Use Chamberlain's Lotionu. Lela Stephens was chosen HThe Most Outstanding Mother of the Yearu. She re- ceived the honor as a result of having a baby sitter 297 nights out of the year. Norma Eubank and Virginia Swanson won the National Two Woman Basketball Crown at Madison Square Garden. Eubank's total points for the year were 1970. Swan- son, however, was outstanding on defense. Jack Boal, star pitcher for Jim Rose's No-Stars, set a new record in hitting batsmen in a single game. He hit six against the Mt. Pleasant All-Stars Sunday. This brings his season total to 893, a new season record. Delores Swanson has reached her two goals: becoming a teacher and being hap- pily married to her highschool sweetheart. Merle Unkrich, star center of the White Globetrotters, was so anxious to get into the game that his foot became entangled in the towel he had previously thrown to the floor in his excitement. He is now in the hospital suffering from a fractured skull. Norma Eubank, the wife of Cleo Rodgers, will exhibit her paintings at the Olds Museum-of Modern Art. Her most prized paintings will be sold at 107 per dozen. Keith Hultquist has been chosen the best stock car racer for the past 5Oyears. Allen Molander, United States wrestling champ, returned to this country after being on a tour in Europe for six months. When asked about the tour Mr. Molan- der replied VI didn't win any matches but I sure had funn. Virginia Swanson, noted for being afraid of the water in her highschool days, has now won fame by swimming the English Channel in 4 hours, 25 minutes, and 6 seconds. Marjorie Rich has won S2500 at a bank-nite show. It was reported she will start a gas station of her own at Wayland, Iowa. Vernon Nebel is trying to get the contract to deliver all gas and oil. Virginia Haganman, paper weight boxer, met Mad Lady Muntz, otherwise known as Lela Stephens, a famous Irish boxer, at the Olympics which were held in Tokyo, Japan. Virginia won because she looked at the second in the corner, who hap- pened to be Jack Derby, a person she had wanted to knock out for years, and got so angry she hit Mad Lady Muntz in the nose and knocked her cold. Frank Buck II, better known as Charles Messer, has returned from darkest South Africa, where he captured the wild woman of Borneo, Delores Spangler. After winning the Nobel Prize for '67, Allen Molander has announced he will resume his study of nucleur physics and has accepted the position as Professor of Physics in the newly established University of Olds. Keith Hultquist and his Dixie Land Jazzers, have just completed a nationwide tour of the United States, visiting such places as The Stomp Room, Olds Tea Room, Swedesburg Metropolitan Opera House, Wayland Island of Jazz, and numerous other places. Delores Swanson has been selected Miss Educated of 1967. She is now collabor- ating on the Webster Dictionary. She has been selected as chief advisor to such people as Einstein the II, more commonly known as Allen Molander. Carl Reschly has been selected the most outstanding Hollywood comedian, his nickname being RED RIT, THE KILLER. Mr. Hannum, better known as NPopsV Hannum, has been chosen head basketball coach at the University of Iowa, with Herbert DePrenger as trainer and waterboy. Mr. Brostrom has finally succeeded in getting the Olds Girls' Basketball team to the state tournament. Dean L. larshall, former instructor at the Olds High School, has recently gone into retirement to complete his greatest work which is said by experts to rival Shakespeares', UAs You Like Itn. Merle Unkrich the celebrated trumpet player and leader of the Texas Symphony, had the honor of buying the first '67 Cadillac. The TTT's were honored by having Mrs. Vernon Nebel, the former Miss Rich as a guest speaker at their annual meeting. Hrs. Nebel was the 1952 Olympic track winner from the United States completing the 100-yard dash in 12.1 seconds. Here's an interesting advertisement. GeeGee Haganman has perfected a new freckle cream which she accidentally made by combining absorbine vinegar, fly spray cough syrup, a dash of Wheaties, and a pinch of salt. This is guaran- teed to ki 1 or cure anything. And last, but not least, the end.

Ano 6 1 c ao! Acziw 4 HONOR BANQUET 1 The Olds Honor Banquet, sponsored by the P.T.A. was held on March 31, giving recognition to the athletic, music and declamatory groups. After a delicious ham dinner the following program was given: Toastmaster--Leslie Anderson: lusic Recognition. vocal and band--Miss Hunter, Declamatcry Honors--lr. larahsllg Athletic, Cheerleading, and Manager Awards--lr. Hannum and lr. Brostrom, Vocal Concert--Morrell Chorus. SENIOR CLASS TRIP Cliibihl aboard a chartered bus early on the morning of April 28, the wide awake seniors started out for the big city of Chicago, anxious to cram all the excitment and fun that was possible into the three days they were there. They were accompanied by lr, and Irs. Brostrom. Among the sights they saw and enjoyed, after finding theirrooms at the Harrison Hotel, were the Planetarium, Brookfield Zoo, China Town and the Ghetto and the Tribune and Wrigley Buildings. A boat ride on Lake Nichi- gan visiting the Argon Ballroom, a baseball game and shopping at Marshall F1eld's also proved to be much fun and very interesting. Sunday evening they collected all their belongings and again climbed aboard the bus--this time to return to Olds very tired but proud and happy to have been able to see some of the big city of Chicago. They were very glad to be back in Olds again londay finding that the big city life was too strenous to have continued it much longer. TH JUNIOR-SENIOR BANQUET The Junior-Senior Banquet was held lay 16, 1950, at the Burlington Ho- tel st 6:30 P.l. The theme of the banquet was NAn Old Fashioned Gardenn. The tables in the banquet room were very beautifully decorated with various kinds of spring flowers. The menu consisted of Blood Root, Bird of Paradise, Golden PawPaw Sweet Psa, Snow on the lountain, Orange Blossom, Bleeding Heart, Bitterroot And leadow Sweet. The program for the evening was: Goldenrod by Marilyn Spangler, Palm Leaf by Jack Boal, Country Gardens by Doris lolander Buttercup by lr. lar- shall, Laurel by Dorothy Reschly When You Wore a Tulip by Bill Tolander, Rosemary by Delores Swanson, Oxalls by Herle Unkrich, My Wild Irish Rose by larie Swenson, Lily by lr. Brostrom, and Four Leaf Clover by Russell Bos- hart. RA
